Titusville Auto Dealership Supports Titusville Businesses Affected by Towne Square Fire

Donovan and Bauer Auto Group employees watched the devastation of the March 17 and 18 fires at Towne Square with the deep sense of loss shared by the rest of the greater Titusville area community. And like so many others, they felt compelled to do something to help their friends and neighbors recover from the loss.

"We knew we wanted to do something to help the businesses that were displaced or disrupted by the fire. This is a community that pulls together and supports one another through hard times," said Troy Donovan, of Donovan and Bauer Auto Group. That help came in the form of a $5,000 donation to the Greater Titusville Development Foundation Recovery Fund on May 19. Which was presented by Mr. Donovan and Joe Vandervort, who were on hand to represent all the employees of Donovan and Bauer Auto Group. The GTDF Recovery Fund distributes donations to support local businesses affected by catastrophic events beyond their control.

"We decided that for every vehicle we sold during the month of April, we would donate $50 to the GTDF Recovery Fund. I guess we chose a good month, because we sold more vehicles in the month of April 2015 than any other month in our 10-year history," said Donovan. "We appreciate the support of the community in choosing to make vehicle purchases locally for the benefit of the whole community," added Vandervort.

Grants from the GTDF Recovery Fund to eligible businesses, which includes first responders and local relief organizations, are available through application and awarded by board approval. Applications are available online at // or by calling 814-564-0406.
